Crash Mat Tackling with Eric Brown – Clovis West High School (CA)

Watch as Coach Eric Brown explains and shows practice clips of the “To Kill the Engine” crash pad low and high tackling drills. The focus is on tracking the ball carrier inside out and placing the hat across the chest. Drive the feet and dump the ball carrier onto the mat. The crash pad high drill involves a different aim point.
