USSSA and D-BAT Announce Partnership

USSSA Baseball Set to Hold More than 70 All American Games Tryouts at D-BAT Academies Across the Country, Helping Develop the Next Generation of Baseball Stars

The announcement makes D-BAT Academies the official host of over 70 All American Games tryouts across the country. Through this partnership, athletes can try out for All American teams at a first-class indoor facility close to their location.

Viera, Fla., February 6, 2023 – USSSA, America’s largest multi-sport association, is proud to announce a partnership with D-BAT Academies, making indoor facilities across the country the host of over 70 USSSA Baseball All American Games tryouts in 2023. This is the first time since 2020 the program will offer tryouts.

“Through state-of-the-art D-BAT facilities and USSSA’s commitment to player development, we know this will be an outstanding event for all players involved,” said Steve Hassett, USSSA National Director of Baseball. “In addition, it’s the first time in program history that athletes will see this many tryouts on the schedule.”

The tryout component of the USSSA All American Games is designed to identify elite baseball players in the 8U-16U age divisions. All tryouts will give each athlete an equal opportunity to showcase their abilities in hitting, throwing, fielding, pitching, catching, and athletic testing. Players are evaluated based on their primary and secondary positions.

Tryouts are run by top baseball athletes and coaches, including Kevin Barr, former MLB Strength and Conditioning Coordinator, and professionals from premier D-BAT Training Academies. Tryouts take place through June and will be held in six regions across the country: West, Midwest, South, Southeast, Southwest, and Northeast.

“It has been a 25-year dream of mine to partner with the best and largest amateur youth organizations in the world. USSSA’s mission to empower athletes through world-class events and sports programs aligns perfectly with our vision,” said Cade Griffis, D-BAT Academies CEO. “We’re excited to welcome athletes into our facilities and serve as a host for the USSSA All American Games tryouts across the entire country.”

After the tryouts, the top athletes from each region are selected to represent their region at the All American Games, the program’s main event. The event is held annually at the USSSA Space Coast Complex in Viera, Florida.

The USSSA All American Games, one of the premier recognition programs for youth baseball in the U.S., was established in 2011. The program recognizes top athletes aged 8U-16U, providing them with increased opportunities to showcase their individual skills and represent their local areas at a national event while competing with and against some of the best players in the country.
